Every sitter on our team meets these requirements to be verified by The Sitter Bridge:
- 18+ years old
- Have their own reliable transportation
- Have previous childcare experience
- Clean background and driving record check
- CPR Certification
- Pass a face to face interview with our team
- Attend an orientation explaining our expectations
Need consistent childcare for 15+ hours weekly?
WE WILL MATCH YOUR FAMILY WITH THE PERFECT SITTER(S) FOR YOUR SHORT-TERM NEEDS.
Requirements to join the program include:
- Babysitting Connection membership
- 15+ hours of childcare needed Monday-Friday per week
- A consistent weekly care schedule for a minimum of 6 weeks
And the best part? You can still schedule a babysitter outside of your consistent care hours if you need additional coverage.

CONSISTENT CARE FAQ'S
Our matches range from 6 weeks to 3 months in duration. After your match ends, you can always discuss extending the match with your sitter. While some of our families have been matched with their sitter(s) for over a year, the average is 3 months.
We do this to provide both you and your sitter(s) with flexibility. You are not locked into any long-term agreement like you are with a nanny. This means you can choose to try out a new sitter, leave the program, or continue with the same sitter if they are still available at the end of your match.
Because you are booking with a sitter consistently and for 1+ months out, we recommend offering a higher hourly rate than you would pay to a sporadic sitter you book through our system. While you do not have to offer a higher hourly rate, you cannot offer a lower rate. You can see our rates here and then decide what your family is willing to pay.
Yes! For our Consistent Care program we allow families to virtually chat with and book test sits with a potential match. We do not allow in-person interviews, but we encourage a virtual chat with any potential matches and we require at least one trial sit with a sitter before scheduling your consistent sits.
The matching process typically takes 4-6 weeks depending on your specific schedule, children’s ages, and location. We recommend booking any sitters you need through our system while we are working to find you someone consistent.
There is a non-refundable $75 fee to join our Consistent Care program. Once you are matched, you will received the $75 back as a credit!
You must also be on the appropriate membership level to cover all the sits you are booking with your sitter(s) each month. Just like every Babysitting Connection member, you will be paying your sitter their hourly rate directly. We recommend offering a higher hourly rate than is listed in our rates section because you are asking for a higher level of commitment. While you do not have to offer a higher hourly rate, you cannot offer a lower rate.

My first experience with childcare was watching younger children between the ages of 1-5 at church.
Ever since then I have enjoyed helping younger children and teaching them. I took Ready, Set, Teach for two years in high school where I worked with children of different age groups and different needs.

While living in Texas, during a time when Joe traveled extensively for work, we found a babysitting agency that connected us with trustworthy sitters and eliminated the stress of finding sitters ourselves. When we moved to the Pacific North West we wanted to bring that same peace of mind to other families and we created The Sitter Bridge to provide just that.
We know the concerns that come with finding quality childcare. We understand how important it is to have babysitters you can truly trust. We built our service to easily connect families with vetted babysitters that we would trust in our own home.
